The 163’ long sculptural concrete Capital Cascades Connector Bridge carries a 12’ wide multi-use trail for pedestrians and cyclists. White, circular columns, positioned at unique angles, support the bridge and its unique canopies. These canopies are made of a specialty solar fabric that captures the sun’s energy while providing shade for bridge users. The solar energy they capture powers LED lighting for the bridge and park, creating dramatic nighttime aesthetics.
